Water and weight loss
The first step of any weight loss plan is eat sensibly and exercise regularly. Though the key to success is a healthy metabolism, this can be helped along by a regular intake of fibre and plenty of water! Our liver and kidneys both need a lot of water to do their job of filtering out all the waste products from our bodies and particularly the livers function of metabolising fat. When the liver and kidneys do not have enough water to do their jobs they store the fat which results in gaining extra pounds! For the best results drink 8 glasses a day and stick to it; it is easy to lose hope with all the trips to the toilet but your body is simply doing it's job and flushing out all the toxins. Try to stay away from caffeine as much as possible - recent findings have suggested that caffeine helps to burn calories, but it also acts as a diurectic which actually dehydrates the body, so while burning a few extra calories it actually is starving us of the water we need for a healthy metabolism. Drinking water also helps to fight the wrinkles. Our skin is made up of tiny cells which need to be hydrated - just like little balloons filled with water, so the more water we drink the more plump and healthy our skin looks, water also flushes toxins out of our system to help maintain a blemish free complexion. It's a fact: Thirst is often mistaken for hunger. Drink 8 glasses a day and feel the difference!
